City sign Zimbabwean international goalkeeper

Cape Town - Cape Town City have signed Zimbabwean international goalkeeper, Tatenda Mkuruva from Dynamos FC in the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League.

Mkuruva is a Zimbabwean international, who was the national team's first-choice goalkeeper during the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations held in Gabon. The 'keeper has made 13 appearances for The Warriors.

The 20-year-old shot stopper will add competition in the Cape side's goalkeeping department that already includes Shu-Aib Walters, Samora Motloung and Gershin Kock.

Dove and Koapeng made their debuts in a 3-0 victory over Highlands Park at Cape Town Stadium on Tuesday night with coach Eric Tinkler praising their contributions in the victory.

Cape Town City next face Ajax Cape Town in a Cape derby at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday night with the two teams experiencing varied fortunes going into the encounter.
