Cape Town - Cape Town City have extended the stay of Kimberley-born winger Surprise Ralani by another year.
Ralani arrived at City in January, having spent his entire career in Sweden and Denmark.
The 30-year-old's impressive performances out on the wing for the Citizens brought about reported interest from other Absa Premiership clubs.
But City have shown their appreciation of Ralani's impact with Benni McCarthy's team by extending the player's initial contract of six months by another year, much to the delight of club boss John Comitis.
"He is very special, unbelievable, he has really been a marvellous player," Comitis told the Sowetan.
"We saw him doing what he does for us when he was in Europe. We are very excited to have him for the new season."
