Chippa's Zulu delighted with progress

Cape Town - On-loan Chippa United striker David Zulu believes he has come of age in the last three seasons despite his short, failed stint at Kaizer Chiefs.

Zulu is currently still on the Chiefs books, but was sent out on loan to the Chilli Boys after failing to impress for Amakhosi in the second half of last season.

The 30-year-old joined the Glamour Boys from Chippa in January 2015, but struggled from the onset to secure a regular place in the team.

"I am feeling good about my game, it is progressing and I am not worried at all," Zulu said on the club's website.

"It felt good to grab my first goal of the season against Baroka. We played a good game and the movement was good that night.

"I like to think that I have matured as a player since my first spell here. I know when to shoot, create for a team-mate or create a space for a teammate to make a run.

"I am more of a team player now and all I do revolves around the team. My goals are aligned to that of the team. The team comes first."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
