Chippa confirm Dlangalala will assist Malesela

Cape Town - Chippa United have announced the arrival of an additional assistant - former Orlando Pirates MultiChoice Diski Challenge coach Zipho Dlangalala.

Dlangalala, who requested last December that he leave Pirates, will assist Chilli Boys head coach Dan Malesela while working alongside current assistant Mbuyiselo Sambu.

"Highly-rated development coach and scholar of the game, Zipho Dlangalala has joined Chippa United as an assistant coach to head coach, Dan Malesela until the end of the season," read a statement on the club's website.

"Dlangalala will join Mbuyiselo Sambu as assistant coach."

The Port Elizabeth-based side also confirmed the departure of a couple of players.

"The club has released duo, goalkeeper Ayanda Masiko and defender Simphiwe Mtsweni from their contracts," club CEO Peter Koutroulis confirmed.

"Masiko and Mtsweni both found it difficult to break into the first team. The club would like to thank the players for their professionalism and wish them all the best in their endeavours in life."
