Cape Town - Former Maritzburg United defender Bokang Tlhone is reportedly on the radar of both Chippa United and newly-promoted Stellenbosch FC.
Tlhone was released by the Team of Choice in January after struggling to establish himself in the first half of the campaign.
He did train with Black Leopards but eventually did not sign a contract with Lidoda Duvha.
Nonetheless, the player's representative Mfundo Mathonsi says that Chippa and Stellies have an interest in securing the 28 year old's services.
He told KickOff: "No at the moment there hasn't been something concrete but we are talking to a couple of teams.
"We are just waiting for an outcome to see what is it that we are going to do. We spoke to Chippa United, Stellenbosch as well. I can say Chippa [are more serious], but we are still waiting because the coach has to confirm if they will be to get some players from Pirates on-loan.
"Obviously if that fails then they will offer him something. We will see when we start talking again if we will reach an agreement, but they are interested."
He added of his client's failed move to Leopards: "At Leopards there was this issue of money and that they wanted to sign him for two years.
"We didn't want that because it was already the second round, we suggested he signs for at least six months and later see whether he can move to a right team, if I can put it like that.
"I don't mean Black Leopards is not a right team but looking at the quality of the player, you want him to go to a place where he will play, or going to a team that is always surviving the axe something like that you see. He trained with the club for like I think a good two weeks. They wanted him saying if he signs for that half-a-season, there must still be an option for them to keep him for another two seasons."
