Cape Town - Chippa United humbled SuperSport United 3-0 in an Absa Premiership match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Chilli Boys moved up into the 13th spot on the league table, while Matsatsantsa remain fourth on the standings.
Matsatsantsa fired the first warning just 15 minutes into the game when Mandla Masango forced Chippa goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi into a good save.
The Chilli Boys also pushed forward as they looked to break the deadlock, but they were struggling to penetrate the Matsatsantsa defence.
SuperSport duo Mario Booysen and Grank Kekana were both booked after the half-hour mark as pressure mounted on the visitors' defence.
Nevertheless, it was 0-0 during the half-time break following a relatively quiet first-half in the city of Port Elizabeth.
The home side continued to press the visitors and they were able to penetrate the Matsatsantsa defence this time after the restart.
However, SuperSport keeper Ronwen William made good saves to deny Chippa attacker Zaphaniah Mbokoma as pressure mounted on the visitors.
Matsatsantsa then suffered a blow in the 69th minute when Keegan Ritchie was red carded after committing a foul in the box and Chippa were awarded a penalty.
Rhulani Manzini then stepped up and fired home to give Chippa a well deserved 1-0 lead over SuperSport, who were under pressure.
The former Platinum Stars striker was keeping the SuperSport defence busy and he managed to doubled his side's lead in the 85th minute.
Before he grabbed his hat-trick in stoppage time - beating SuperSport keeper Williams for the third time and Chippa won 3-0.
