Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have revealed they are going to pull out all the stops to defend their Macufe Cup crown when they face Bloemfontein Celtic in the final on Sunday.
In last season's instalment of the competition, Amakhosi were in fine form as they demolished Siwelele 4-1 courtesy of goals from Edmore Chirambadare, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Bernard Parker and Keagan Buchanan.
As such, Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has revealed that club are motivated for the fixture and will look to improve their performance following a lull in form in their Premiership campaign.
He told the club's official website: "To us, this is not only about the match. It is being part of 'Setso' (Culture). We've seen before that Bloemfontein will be abuzz with people from far and wide. And we want to be part of them, as most will be Chiefs supporters.
"This match will give our technical team a chance to rectify the mistakes we made in our last PSL fixture (a 2-1 loss to Baroka). It is also the FIFA break and we want to keep our match fitness in preparation for the upcoming tight fixture schedule.
"We look forward to the match and it's all systems go on our side. We just wish the entire festival success and for the people to enjoy peacefully. Drive safe as Arrive Alive must be the order of the day."
