Chiefs set sights on signing Ea Lla Koto defender

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly targeting Free State Stars' Thato Thlone as they look to beef up their defence for next season.

Thlone has caught the eye for Stars coach Giovanni Solinas, and was among the scorers as Ea Lla Koto knocked Chiefs out of the Telkom Knockout recently.

Soccer Laduma report that the player's name has been spoken about in terms of being a transfer target, as he could add strength in the club's left-back department.

The publication's source said, "Thlone’s name has been mentioned as a potential transfer target for Chiefs. His performances haven't gone unnoticed. His contract with Stars is coming to an end in June and it seems that there are a few clubs that are aware of that."

The 25-year-old was with the Glamour Boys juniors earlier in his career before he joined Dynamos in the National First Division.

The defender could sign a pre-contract with Amakhosi in January.
