Chiefs send V-day message of love and peace

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs forward Gustavo Paez and midfielder George Maluleka believe that the club's motto of 'love and peace' is a sentiment well represented on Valentine's Day.

The annually celebrated day is a cultural, religious and commercial honouring of the idea of love in many regions around the globe.

As such, the Glamour Boys duo have joined in on the celebration by encouraging all people to act in the spirit of 'love and peace' on such a significant day.

Speaking to the club's official website, Paez said: "We must celebrate love every day. We are privileged because we live everyday with the spirit of love and peace.

"I wish to inspire everyone to go all out and share love. To give love and peace is something one should do every day if you really care about somebody."

Meanwhile, Maluleka added: "This is a special day to express and share love. From Chiefs’ point of view, by association, love is our way of life.

"I wish that people all over the world will make time on this day to be there with their loved one. I want everyone to express and share love on this exquisite day."

Amakhosi are next in action in the PSL on February 17 when they face Cape Town City in a crucial league clash at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Kick-off is at 20:15.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
