Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has confirmed that defender Kgotso Moleko is available for the Soweto derby after recovering from a leg injury.
Moleko picked up his knock during the 1-0 defeat to Cape Town City on January 30.
He was substituted during the encounter and was in doubt to face Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
However, the 29-year-old has resumed full training and will be available for selection against the Glamour Boys.
Ernst Middendorp is also expected to hand Daniel Akpeyi his first start between the sticks after incumbent goalkeeper Virgil Vries made a number of high-profile errors in recent weeks.
Chiefs have been suffering with a number of injuries to key players with the likes of Itumeleng Khune, Lebogang Manyama and Eric Mathoho all out.
Yet, there is further good news for Amakhosi fans on the injury front as Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Philani Zulu have also made a return.
Middendorp said: "He went out because he got a knock, a knock on his leg.
"He was a little bit handicapped for a few days after, but he's been in full training since Tuesday."
Moleko has made six appearances in 2018/19 in the league with five of those coming as starts.
Kick-off is 15:30.
