Chiefs, Pirates and Downs set for fixture changes

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates' Premiership clash with SuperSport United set for 3 February has been rescheduled to 26 February due to Bucs' CAF Champions League commitments.

The Sea Robbers were set to take on SuperSport in early February however it clashes with the side's CCL tie with Tunisia's Esperance on 4 February at Orlando Stadium.

As such, the PSL has once more been very helpful and switched the fixture to the end of that month in order that Pirates are given enough time to rest between fixtures.

Matsatsantsa spokesperson David 'Mazolman' Skhosane confirmed the fixture switch to Kickoff, saying: "Yes, it's true our league fixture against Pirates, which was set for February 3, has been postponed.

"The game will now take place on February 26 at Lucas Moripe Stadium."

Meanwhile, it is thought that Mamelodi Sundowns will shift a league encounter as well to accommodate the Champions League tie against Ivory Coast's ASEC Mimosas on 2 February.

On Monday the PSL announced that Kaizer Chiefs' PSL clash with Cape Town City had been brought forward to 30 January, after the Glamour Boys were dumped out of the CAF Confederations Cup by Zesco United.
