Chiefs on a must-win-all plan, says Komphela

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs head coach Steve Komphela is aiming for the three points when his charges take on Free State Stars in Wednesday's Absa Premiership encounter.

Chiefs head into the match on the back of a morale boosting victory over Baroka FC, which secured them a semi-final place in the Nedbank Cup.

The Amakhosi mentor said it is important for his charges to continue grinding results and maintaining the momentum as all teams are playing to finish the campaign in respectable positions.

"We are going all out for a win. We are on a must-win-all plan for the remaining six league fixtures," said Komphela as quoted by Soccer Laduma website.

"It is the final lap and all the teams are making a final push.

"Some want to win the league, to play in the African Champions League, there’s the Top 8 and others want to avoid relegation. So it is game on."

Despite only having one training session since their victory over Baroka, Komphela believes they are in great shape to battle for the three points against Ea Lla Koto.

The coach further stated that Stars are a great side and their position in the standings says a lot about thier quality this season.

"They are competing well and their log position tells a story of their season so far. They play as a team. Siphelele Mthembu, who played for us, is doing well and another threat is Sinethemba Jantjie," said Komphela.

"We are looking at a continuation after booking a win in last Saturday’s cup game. We hope lady luck will add to the chances that we create and that, as a result, we will score more goals."

Kick-off is at 19:30.
