Chiefs' Ntiya-Ntiya wants overseas move

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs full-back Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya says he dreams of one day playing in Europe as well as representing Bafana Bafana.

Ntiya-Ntiya was promoted to the first team 18 months ago and made his professional debut under then-coach Steve Komphela in a 0-0 draw with SuperSport United.

The 22-year-old has since amassed 33 appearances and appears to become a regular starter under current mentor Ernst Middendorp.

The player spoke of his aspirations to Chiefs' official website, saying: "One day I wish to play overseas and have the honour and opportunity to play in the national team and represent my country at the highest level.

"Chiefs is a big club with a huge following. The supporters expect us to do well all the time.

"It takes a lot of dedication and hard work to play for Kaizer Chiefs. It is a great honour as well.

"So, youth must grab and use the opportunities to the best of their abilities."

Speaking of Youth Day on 16 June, the defender concluded: "As we celebrate this youth month, let us energise the spirit of Ubuntu and excellence in our communities. I think we must go back to the basics, starting with respecting our elders and taking their advice.”
