Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela says he is looking to guide his team to the final of the Telkom Knockout Cup again ahead of their tie against Maritzburg United.
The Naturena-based outfit reached the final of the same competition during Komphela's first season in charge (2015/16), but failed to clinch the title after going down 3-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Komphela, who will face his former employers at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, is determined to lift his maiden trophy in the Premiership.
"It was good that we reached the finals last year but not good enough because we didn't win it," he told reporters.
"We want to reach the finals again this time to go and win it but we can't be focusing on the finals before we win today against Maritzburg United.
"It's not about proving a point against each other but it's all about winning and progressing in the tournament and make sure we reach the finals where we can fight to lift the trophy," he concluded.
Komphela's charges will look to extend their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions with a victory against The Team Of Choice, who they defeated 2-0 in a league encounter in September.
