Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly one of four Premiership teams
interested in bringing in out of favour Orlando Pirates midfielder Lehlogonolo
Masalesa.
The 24-year-old has made just 24 Premiership appearances for
the Sea Robbers over the last four-and-a-half seasons, and has not featured at
all for the club in 2016/17.
Soccer Laduma report that Chiefs are in the queue to sign the player along with Chippa United, Platinum Stars and Cape Town City. The publication says that either outfit may try to land 'Vieira' in January, who may be tempted by a move as he pursues more regular first team football.
It's thought that the well-regarded young midfielder has a
deal that runs until June 2017 which means he can sign a pre-contract agreement
elsewhere with any other club in January.
The Mankweng-born star's future at Mayfair seems to be
bleak. He saw no game time under previous coach Muhsin Ertugral and has also
not featured under interim mentor Augusto Palacios.
His best season as a professional footballer came in 2011/12 when he made 25 appearances for Bidvest Wits. His potential then won him a move to Pirates in 2012/13 where his career has since stalled.
