Chiefs happy for the time to work on 'details'

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas says he is pleased the club have an extended break due to the MTN8 final on Saturday, and he plans to use it productively.

After recording three wins in a row in September, Chiefs are only back in action on Tuesday next week which means the Glamour Boys have had more time to work on aspects of their play on the training ground.

Solinas did not spend pre-season with the outfit from Naturena after being hired just prior to the start of the 2018/19 campaign.

As such, the Italian revealed the break would give him time to work on 'details' of how Amakhosi want to play, ahead of the clash with the Lions of the North early next week.

He told reporters: "When I have time to prepare for the games, I'm happy. Because, when you have time, you can prepare with the details.

"When you don't have time and you play every two to three days, you have to focus only on the priorities.

"Now we have time to work on the details, and to prepare for the next game so I am happy.”

Saturday's MTN8 final is set to be contested by SuperSport United and Cape Town City at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
