Cape Town - Bafana
Bafana international and Vitoria de Guimaraes midfielder Bongani Zungu
is reportedly open to returning to play in the Absa Premiership, with
Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United all credited with
an interest.
According to Soccer Laduma, Zungu is seemingly after a loan return to play in the Premiership as he has found playing time with the Primeira Liga outfit hard to come by.
Although the 24-year-old did make his debut recently, it seems he is looking for more regular football.
The Duduza-born star has failed to hit the heights in Portugal after joining Vitoria with an injury ahead of the 2016/17 campaign. As such, the publication report that he wants regular playing time to rediscover his best form.
The article in question stated: "The crew have been informed that, while Zungu is adamant on making a name for himself in Europe, he would be open to a short-term loan in Mzansi, in order to get back to his best.
"It is thought that clubs in both Turkey and Russia have enquired about Zungu's availability, while his former club, Sundowns, as well as Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United, would also been keen to bring him in..."
The former Masandawana midfielder has a year and a half left on his deal with Guimaraes, but the club are thought to not want to let him go on a permanent basis.
