Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs spokesperson Vina Maphosa expressed the Soweto giants displeasure following their 2016 CAF Champions league exit.
Amakhosi were eliminated from the continental showpiece after suffering from a 1-0 aggregate defeat to Asec Abidjan of Ivory Coast on Sunday.
Maphosa said the Phefeni Glamour Boys will utilise the current FIFA break to get over their shocking exit and go back to the drawing board as they intend to switch focus back to domestic competitions.
“Obviously I can’t tell you about the mood in our camp at the moment.” Maphosa told Sport24.
“It’s still early to say because we have just returned from Abidjan but we are very disappointed.
“We are disappointed with our elimination from the competition because we really wanted to stay on and go all the way.
“Our goal was to make the country proud but it wasn’t to be and for now we just have to get over our loss.
“And then switch back our focus to the remaining league matches.”
