Cape Town - Chippa United defender and former Kaizer Chiefs development product, Zitha Macheke, says it is likely he will extend his deal with the Chilli Boys.
Macheke has been one of the club's most consistent performers over the past few seasons and even survived the massive clear-out of players in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old has missed just two matches for Chippa in 2018/19 and is eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with any other side should he feel a desire for a challenge elsewhere.
Nonetheless, the player has committed his future to the Port Elizabeth-based outfit, saying: "No, we are busy siyakhuluma (with) Chippa.
"Yeah, the chances are high of me renewing the contract. At the moment I'm still playing I haven't signed a pre-contract anywhere."
With Bidvest Wits strongly linked to securing his signature, Clever Boys Chief Executive Officer Jose Ferreira says they have no interest in his services.
Speaking to KickOff website, he said: "No my friend, we haven't announced any pre-contract for anybody other than the ones we announced.
"So there no such a thing. The one that we announced, six pre-contracts on January that's the ones we've signed."
