Chiefs confirm Molangoane signing

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the signing of Joseph Molangoane from Chippa United on a deal ending in June 2019.

The 28-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper with the Glamour Boys and could be available for the club's next Premiership clash with the Chilli Boys on Saturday.

Chiefs Football Manager Bobby Motaung hailed Molangoane's addition to the squad. He told the club's official website: "He is a very good footballer, a top-class player. I think he will be a fantastic addition to the squad.

"We are relieved that the matter that held up his transfer has finally been resolved through the PSL's Dispute Resolution Chamber and he is free to join the club of his choice. We are delighted to finally welcome the player officially to the club."

The 28-year-old started his career with Platinum Stars before turning out for the likes of AmaZulu, Orlando Pirates and Chippa. The player had been in something of a football wilderness while he waited for the outcome from the PSL's DRC.

Chiefs will be hoping that their new addition will boost their chances of improving on their current standing of fifth on the log when they face the Chilli Boys in a league encounter.

Kick off is scheduled for 18:00.
