Chiefs confirm Maluleka contract extension

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka has put pen to paper on three-year contract extension with the Sowetan giants.

According to the club’s official website, the former Ajax Cape Town midfielder has been tied down till June 2020.

"Kaizer Chiefs hereby confirm the contract extension of George ‘Mido’ Maluleka," read the statement.

"The 28-year old midfielder joined Amakhosi from SuperSport United in 2014. Mido penned a three year extension deal dated 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2020.

"The sealing of Maluleka’s contract talks will end a series of speculations from pundits and will be welcome news to Amakhosi faithfuls."

Meanwhile, Maluleka and the rest of the Amakhosi players will run out this weekend against Stellenbosch FC on Saturday night in a Nedbank Cup Round of 32 clash.

Kick off is at 20:15.
