Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns were seemingly involved in something of a verbal spat following Saturday's Premiership clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
After the encounter which Sundowns won 2-1, coaches Pitso Mosimane and Steve Komphela shared what appeared to be some heated views at the post-match press conference.
Mosimane expressed his opinion that Komphela set Chiefs up to defend in numbers, and claimed Downs were the better outfit.
He said: "There was football on the day, unlike the last time where we had to worry about counter-attacks. When I saw the Chiefs line-up I saw five, six defenders and I said what is going on here? But they played, they came out and I felt we dominated."
Meanwhile, Komphela seemed to take issue with his compatriot's remarks in response.
He said: "Maybe I should make a request to our colleagues; refrain from misinformation because what I say in public comes across as gospel because of the profile that you hold as a coach. We must interpret things properly. Our structure was highly offensive in my opinion."
Saturday's result saw the Glamour Boys drop to fifth while Masandawana rose to twelfth spot.
The Brazilians' next fixture will see them welcome high-flying Golden Arrows to Loftus Versveld on Wednesday, while Chiefs face a tough encounter against Stuart Baxter's SuperSport United on the same date.
Kick off is at 19:30.
