Chiefs aim to give fans Christmas gift

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs forward Bernard Parker has revealed the club are aiming to give the fans an early Christmas present by beating Golden Arrows in Wednesday's Premiership encounter.

The 30-year-old made a welcome return to form when he netted in Chiefs' 3-2 victory over Polokwane City on Sunday. The Bafana Bafana international also picked up the Man of the Match award.

Parker added that he believes the club have winning momentum and are in a good position to defeat Abafana Bes'thende.

He told the club's official website: "I am happy we are back to winning ways. It felt so great to see the team turn the corner on Sunday. We were so excited with those three points and we want to follow that up with more good performances.

"We want to give our supporters a good Christmas present (with a win against Arrows). Durban is like our backyard (in terms of the support). When we are in the right space and frame of mind no one can stop us."

Wednesday's action gets underway from 18:00 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in eThekwini.
