Chiefs a work in progress, says Katsande

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande has rallied his team-mates to wake from their recent slumber after three consecutive games without a win.

Amakhosi have dropped down from the summit of the Premiership table to third after a string of poor performances.

Chiefs will face CAF Champions League winners Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versveld on Saturday.

"I would say the break has been good for us to recharge our batteries. We needed to regroup after a disappointing run," Katsande told KickOff.

"There were a few things we worked on that we were not happy with. That said, the vibes and the spirit in the team is still very high. We want to please our fans as we owe it to them. But like I said we're a work in progress.

"We are definitely going to give them the respect they deserve. After all they are the defending PSL and African champs. The also would want to climb the ladder to make up for lost time and games played. It's going to be a good battle and we as Chiefs players are looking forward to making our fans happy."

Kick off is at 15:30.
