Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that the club have sold out their 50th anniversary commemorative jersey.
The stylish black and gold kit was launched by the club last week as part of their birthday celebrations but has already sold out at Chiefs' two physical stores and on their digital store.
However, the kit is still available at TotalSports and Studio88 outlets.
"The jersey was available at our two physical stores [at the village and in Pretoria] and on our digital store, and from those stores the jersey is sold out," club spokesperson Vina Maphosa told KickOff.
"We would like to thank the fans for their response which has been incredible response since the jersey was launched.
"The response from the fans has been overwhelming. The supporters have shown incredible commitment to the club not only now, but over the five decades that the club has been in existence.
"When the time came to celebrate our 50th anniversary we wanted to do something special to mark the occasion and the supporters."
Maphosa could not yet confirm whether the club would print more jerseys.
"This is a special jersey so only a limited amount was printed. At this point in time I cannot say if there will be more in future. If it becomes available again we will make the necessary announcement."
Chiefs will continue to wear the kit for the remainder of their 2020 home games.
