Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic defender Tlou Molekwane says that Siwelele have been working hard and getting used to one another ahead of the 2016/17 Premiership season.

The 27-year-old was unveiled along with seven other players in: Deon Hotto, Khetowakhe Masuku, Cheslyn Jampies, Sibusiso Mxoyana, Atusaye Nyondo, Mpho Maruping and Nicholas Sibanda in July as the Bloemfontein-based outfit look to compete for honours this season, after a disappointing 2015/16 season where they finished in 11th place.

"The entire squad has been working vigorously during pre-season to ensure our readiness when the season begins. Most of the new guys are gradually gelling and getting used to the playing system that the coach and technical team want us use. We have been playing friendly games with competitive teams and that has also helped us get used to each other," he told the club's website.

The former Polokwane City and Kaizer Chiefs man also highlighted the winning mentality that coach Serame Letsoaka is gradually instilling in the team.

"What the coach said about Celtic winning trophies in his comments when were unveiled has been emphasized during the training sessions. We are tirelessly working towards achieving greater heights this season," he added.

"In one of the training sessions, coach spoke eloquently about his vision and told us we are a bunch of incredibly talented and experienced players who can take on any opposition and that inspired us a lot."

The right-back, who is expected to compete with Mthokozisi Dube for a starting berth, concluded by revealing his admiration for some of his team-mates, as well as the Celtic fan-base, whom he hopes to impress.

"I have for years, watched from a distance a player like Alfred Ndengane who is a workaholic and has sublime team spirit mentality. Playing alongside talented and experienced players like Musa Nyatama who also brings the spirit of unionism through his constant jokes and advices will make me a better player. In addition, the supporters of this team are wonderful to watch, it is unbelievable to be part of such an excellent family. Rewarding the supporters with silverware is one of our ultimate aims," Molekwane concluded.
