Celtic ready to give '120%'

Cape Town - Following a crisis meeting earlier this week, Bloemfontein Celtic are optimistic that they can turn their season around.

The Free State side have won only one of their last 15 games in all competitions, and have slipped to 12th spot on the league standings, nine points above the relegation zone.

Next up for Celtic is a clash away to Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday night, a potentially tough encounter against a side also looking to rescue a poor season.

Midfielder Musa Nyatama says that following Monday’s talks, the players are ready to up their efforts, starting with the game against the Buccaneers.

"It's been a frustrating time for us, but we will go all out against Pirates," he said.

"We all promised to up our game, to give 120%. Who thought Pirates would be beaten by Free State Stars the other day? Pirates are beatable, so anything is possible," Nyatama was quoted as saying by the Times Live.

Celtic MD, Rali Ramabodu is also hopeful of a turnaround:

"It is not a secret that we have not been playing well and results not forthcoming hence we sat down to identify then iron out problems. The players also listened to the frustrations of the supporters and most significantly, they also came up with solutions," he told the club’s website.

"The meeting was fruitful in a sense we had players declaring that they will give 120% effort. Over and above admitting their own mistakes and short comings in previous games, they assured the technical team of their willingness to work collectively to reward the loyal supporters."
