Celtic mum on next permanent coach

Bloemfontein - Bloemfontein Celtic have decided to give legends Lehlohonolo Seema and John Maduka two more games in charge of the club before announcing the new, permanent coach, the club spokesperson, Sello Nduna, confirmed on Tuesday.

Those matches against Polokwane City (Sunday, November 20 at 15:30) and Baroka FC (Wednesday, November 23).

Celtic’s head coach position has been vacant since the dismissal of Serame Letsoaka, due to a poor run of results, last month.

Despite admitting that CVs are piling up in the City of Roses, Nduna declined to reveal the identities of coaches bidding for the Phunya Sele Sele hot seat.

“Currently we are allowing the two legends Seema and Maduka to continue,” Nduna told Sport24.

“At least for the next two games against Polokwane City and Baroka FC, we have decided to give them enough time to take charge of the team.

“But we’ll thereafter decide on the way forward after the next week and I can confirm that the CVs for a vacant coaching position are piling up.

“But allow me not to reveal the candidates identity because that would be suicidal my man. A decision on who gets the job will be made after the next two games like I said.

“Then an announcement will be made,” he conclude.

The struggling Celtic side have only managed to register a single victory after seven rounds this season and they are currently occupying 13th spot on the log.
