Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic eased to a 3-0 win over rivals Free State Stars in their Absa Premiership clash at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium on Sunday.
Only one team pitched on the day and it was the hosts, who produced an utterly dominating performance from the first whistle.
Veselin Jelusic's side looked the fresher of the two teams after having six days' break from their previous encounter and with that, his players passed the ball with conviction, showed incredible fluidity and took their chances with great precision.
Victor Letsoalo, an off-season signing for Celtic who scored seven goals last season for Baroka FC, opened his account for Siwelele with two composed finishes.
The first arrived on the half-hour mark after the forward played a neat one-two with Ndumiso Mabena on the edge of the area, which saw him clean through on goal to smash the ball with his left foot into the top corner of the net.
With Celtic taking the lead they grew in confidence, while Stars failed to register a single shot at goal during the opening half.
The men in green and white allowed the ball to do the work and Ea Lla Koto were quickly tired out in attempt to press their rivals higher up the pitch.
And in the 57h minute, the hosts were rewarded for their patience as a neat build-up resulted in Lucky Baloyi smashing an unstoppable drive into the top-right corner of the net from 20 yards out.
But the scoring didn't end there, as Letsoalo capped of his man-of-the-match display with a second goal for the afternoon. Another quick-one-two saw the former Bakgaga man into the 18-yard area before showing great composure to fire a low shot past a despairing Bandra Ali Sangare.
