Celtic announce Steve Komphela 1st signing

Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic have announced the signing of Ryan de Jongh from Platinum Stars to become Steve Komphela first acquisition at the club. 

De Jongh joins Celtic on a three-year contract and reunites with his former mentor, who was recently announced as Phunya Sele Sele's new coach. 

The 28-year midfielder reunites with Komphela after working together during their time at Maritzburg United. 

He joins Celtic after leaving Dikwena, who have been relegated to the National First Division (NFD) and have since relocated to Cape Town. 

Stars have since been renamed Cape Umoya United. 

The utility player made 25 appearances for Dikwena in all competitions during the 2017/18 season 

Celtic announced on its social media account: "Bloemfontein Celtic has signed Ryan de Jongh on a three- year deal."
