Cele loving life in Portugal

Cape Town - After securing a five-year-contract with Portuguese giants Benfica, youngster Thabo Cele is loving life in the Iberian Peninsula nation.

The 20-year-old, a product of the KwaZulu-Natal Academy made an impressive start to life in Portugal, helping Real SC - where he was on loan - to promotion to the country's second tier.

Cele, who was part of Soith Africa's side at the Under-20 World Cup in South Korea last year, and played in Bafana's Cosafa Cup campaign, spoke of his delight of living and learning in such a football loving country.

"Here it is just football, football, football. I love it," the young Cele was quoted by TimesLIVE website.

"The country is passionate about the game and so am I," he said. "It is everything to them.

"So, when it is all around you, on TV all the time, then it makes you feel like you in a real footballing country and that, more than anything else, helped me to settle here."
