Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso admits the Soweto giants would love to add a CAF Champions League star to their badge in the near future.
Amakhosi are currently on track to win the Absa Premiership as they enjoy a 10-point lead over second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns, while arch-rivals Orlando Pirates are two points further adrift, after beating Golden Arrows 1-0 on Saturday.
However, Sundowns and Pirates both sport a Champions League star above their respective badges, for winning the continental competition, and Cardoso admits Chiefs are a bit envious.
"Every trophy we compete in, we want to win it. Orlando Pirates have a star on their badge. Mamelodi Sundowns have a star on their badge. We also want that star on our badge," he said, as quoted by IOL.
"When we last played in the CAF Champions League we didn't have a good experience, but we learned from that."
Winning the Absa Premiership this season would qualify Chiefs for the CAF Champions League.
