Cape Town - Cape Town City were crowned Premier Soccer League (PSL) Q-Innovation winners for the first time for winning six out of eight games during the third block of the 2016/2017 season.
“Cape Town City, a club that has captivated many people’s imaginations during the 2016/17 Absa Premiership season, were today confirmed as the Quarter Three winners,” PSL statement said.
The team amassed 20 points, two ahead of Kaizer Chiefs to win Quarter Three. They currently occupy the third spot in the Absa Premiership log standings with 55 points from 29 games.
They will receive R1.5 million prize money for their achievement.
