Cape Town - Cape Town City FC have announced the permanent signing of defender Tshepo Gumede from Orlando Pirates, which will see him man reunite with coach Eric Tinkler.
The new Absa Premiership outfit took to their official Twitter account to reveal the signing of the former Platinum Stars man.
"Cape Town City FC is proud to announce the signing of Bafana star, defender Tshepo Gumede. Welcome to City Tshepo," the tweet read.
The 25-year-old will aim to reignite his career in the Mother City after he fell out-of-favour at the Mayfair outfit since his arrival in 2015 - making just three Premiership appearances for the Buccaneers last season.
Gumede joins the likes of Australian midfielder Matt Sim and Austrian defender Roland Putsche, who were recently added to Tinkler's side ahead of the new season.
