Cape Town - Cape Town City on Saturday announced the signing of Bafana Bafana striker Tokelo Rantie.
The Cape club announced that the 27-year-old had signed a three-year deal.
Rantie was a free agent after leaving Turkish side Gençlerbirligi and has not played a competitive game of football since last October.
He will relish working under Cape Town City coach Benni McCarthy, who was his strike partner at Orlando Pirates when the club won the Absa Premiership six years ago.
Rantie has scored 12 goals in 40 appearances for South Africa.
He earlier also played for English club Bournemouth.
