Cape Town - Cape Town City have confirmed that they have accepted an offer from Danish Superliga side Aarhus GF for the transfer of winger Gift Links.
The 20-year-old Links only joined the Citizens a year ago and impressed in his only season with the Cape Town club and made his Bafana Bafana debut last year.
He scored five goals for Benni McCarthy's side in the last campaign and impressed so much that he has now earned a move to Europe in what City said was a club record fee, but no figures were mentioned.
City said in statement on social media: "Cape Town City and Danish Superliga side Aarhus GF have agreed to terms over the club record transfer of 20y South African international Gift Links."
Links thanked the club for playing a role in his development, saying: "I knew Cape Town City is the club that could take me to Europe.
"I developed so much here, I can't thank the club enough."
Aarhus are one of the bigger clubs in Denmark having won the Danish Superliga five times and the Danish Cup on nine occasions.
