Bucs' perfect start halted by CT City

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates were held to a goalless draw by Cape Town City in their Absa Premiership match played at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg on Tuesday evening.

Despite the draw Bucs remains at the top of the league standings, while City move to position six on the table.

The home side were forced into making an early charge just eight minutes into the game after Gift Motupa sustained an injury and he was replaced by Bernard Morrison.

City kept pressure on Pirates via two corner-kicks towards the half-hour mark, but Mpho Matsi's header went inches wide of the target.

The former Bafana Bafana international pulled off breathtaking saves to deny City attackers Judas Moseamedi and Lebogang Manyama.

With 13 minutes left on the clock, City head coach made a change pulling out a midfielder Bhongolethu Jayiya for a striker Sibusiso Masina

Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro had a chance to snatch a late winner for his side in the 80th minute, but his powerful low shot went narrowly wide of the target.
