Buchanan resumes training with Chiefs

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Keagan Buchanan has resumed training, following a knee injury which kept him sidelined since the end of the 2015/16 campaign.

Buchanan was unveiled with seven other players by Amakhosi on 27 June, but the 25-year-old midfielder hasn't featured for the Soweto giants as he looks to regain his fitness - after sustaining a knee injury at former club Bloemfontein Celtic.

The central-midfielder took to his official twitter account to confirm that he is back in training with Steve Komphela's outfit.

"Feels good to be back! First full session back in training. Feeling strong !!! ..... Loading #10," he wrote on Twitter.

Buchanan could be set to make his official debut on 14 September, when Chiefs face Platinum Stars in their next league encounter.

Kick-off is at 19:30.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
