Cape Town - Bookmakers have installed Bidvest Wits as favourites to clinch a maiden Absa Premiership title this season.

Gavin Hunt's men are currently third in the standings, a single point adrift of log leaders Cape Town City FC and second placed Kaizer Chiefs who are only separated at the top by goal difference.
Wits have however played two fewer matches than the Cape side and have three matches in hand over Amakhosi.
Leading SA bookies Sportingbet have installed Wits as even-money favourites for the 2016/17 title, followed by defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns (17/10) who are in fourth place, three points behind Wits having played the same number of matches.
Cape Town City, also seeking what would be a remarkable first ever title, are on offer at 4/1 while Chiefs can be backed at 10/1.
A title for Chiefs come May would be their fifth since the league's inception in the 1996/97 season.
SuperSport United, at 25/1, are the last of the realistic title contenders.
The destiny of this year's title could become a lot clearer after Wednesday's matches when Cape Town City host Wits at the Cape Town Stadium, while Matsatsantsa welcome Chiefs to the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
