Blow for Chiefs as Baccus, Frosler set to miss Soweto derby

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp has revealed that Reeve Frosler and Kearyn Baccus are set to miss this weekend's Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates.

The news will come as blow to Amakhosi as defender Frosler has been in good form while Baccus has made a huge impact in midfield since joining the club at the start of the season.

Chiefs are scheduled to play Orlando Pirates in a Telkom knockout quarterfinal clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday and Middendorp addressed the media on Wednesday.

Middendorp told reporters: "It looks like Reeve Frosler will probably not be available.

"Kearyn Baccus will definitely not (play), but we said it immediately after his injury that he will take a time of three weeks.

"At the moment we're in the second week, so we're saying no chance."

Chiefs will be looking to reach the Telkom Knockout semifinals for the third consecutive year.
