Billiat's next move remains undecided

Cape Town - Zimbabwe international Khama Billiat, set to leave Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of the season, is yet to make a clear indication of where he will continue his career.

Billiat played what was excepted to be his final home match in Sundowns colours when the Brazilians drew 1-1 with African champions Wydad Casablanca in Attridgeville on Saturday night, while coach Pitso Mosimane has also spoken recently of the player's imminent departure.

There has been talk over the past week or two that the former Ajax Cape Town winger could be headed for Azerbaijan side Qarabag, where Bafana Bafana striker Dino Ndlovu is based, while Swedish team Djurgadens has also been mentioned.

However, a report over the weekend indicated that Billiat has been linked with a move to another Absa Premiership club, with Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Bidvest Wits and SuperSport United all mentioned, although this appears little more than speculation at this stage.

The only thing that is confirmed is that the 27-year-old Zimbabwean international and 2015/16 PSL Footballer of the Season, who has been with Sundowns for five seasons, has not yet decided on his next club.

"Everyone wants him and the whole world knows he's going to be free (by June 30)," Billiat's agent Michael Ngobeni told Sunday World.

"But everyone has to wait until he finishes the season. Khama still has a contract with the club even though he's going to be free, so there's no reason why we should rush," he added.
