Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat is adamant that team-mate Lazarous Kambole will come good for Amakhosi and just needs time to adjust to South African football.

Kambole was a high-profile signing by the Soweto giants before the season with the Zambian striker arriving from ZESCO United.

The 25-year-old has yet to set the scene alight though and has yet to find the back of the net in seven league games this season.

Billiat though has come out in support of his fellow attacker, saying the Amakhosi team are behind Kambole.

"We all struggle when we come here, it is expected," Billiat said.

"But we are working hard to try and help him (Kambole).

"He is a good player, that is why he is here. We believe in him and we are going to support him as much as we can.

"Every opportunity he gets I think he is close to breaking the ice and we have a good feeling about it."

Kaizer Chiefs' next game will be in the Telkom Knockout on Saturday when they travel to Cape Town City.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
