Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns playmaker Khama Billiat feels that another cup final loss, this time in the CAF Champions League against Zamalek, would be unbearable.
The Brazilians were brought down to earth with a debilitating 3-0 loss against Wits in the MTN8 final a fortnight ago.
Sundowns will face Zamalek in the final of the continental competition in the first-leg at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.
"It's a big lesson what we learnt. We love learning and we can't choose the way we learn sometimes. That defeat was a wake-up call for us," Billiat told Kick Off.
"I'm sure we are ready for anything right now and we don't want to do the same mistake. We can make mistakes that we never done before, we are strong, we watch our games. We even watch the game we lost to be better in the next game.
"We don't want to lose again, it was so hard to digest. But at the end of the day, we don't have much time to cry and mourn. We have to come back and do things right.
"We just have to make sure that we do the corrections right. I think in those matches we beat them, we got the tactics right.
"We knew exactly what to expect and it came out exactly like that. It was easy for us to deal with them. Hopefully, there is not much change because we know them very well, but there is always a surprise on the day."
