Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns and Zimbabwe international forward Khama Billiat is hoping that the next few months could help 'open other opportunities' for him.
Not only is Billiat involved in the CAF Champions League semi-finals with Sundowns, but he will also be taking part with Zimbabwe at the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon.
While conceding that he will have to manage himself carefully in order to remain fit and on top of his game, the current PSL Player of Season has also hinted that he hopes some stellar performances could bring about a new chapter in his career - the 26-year-old is now into his seventh season in South Africa's top flight.
"It is stressing because these months are crucial for me, but I am focusing on a plan not to (get) any injuries on my body.
"Right now I am concentrating on the Champions League because this is a big time for me," he told KickOff, ahead of Saturday's second-leg semi-final showdown with ZESCO United (who have a 2-1 advantage).
"I’ve never been to this stage of the competition before and if I enjoy my football now it will bring better performances come January and the Nations Cup.
"I want to be in better form than I am now as it will be the biggest stage that I have ever played at for my national team which could open other opportunities for me," added Billiat.
