Billiat committed to Sundowns

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Khama Billiat expressed his commitment to the club, but admits that his dream is to play in Europe someday.

Billiat has just completed a superb season with the Brazilians where the club clinched the Absa Premiership title and Telkom Knockout trophy.

The Zimbabwean star played a pivotal role for Downs as they clinched the title with a record 71 points, after 22 wins, five draws and three losses.

After contributing 13 goals and 20 assists, the 25-year-old was nominated for the PSL Midfielder of the Season, Players' Player of the Season and Player of the Season awards on Monday.

"It's good that my performance is attracting interest from Europe," Billiat told Soccer Laduma.

"But at the moment I am still a Sundowns player and I am celebrating the success with them, but we have to wait and see what will happen.

"If it happens that I leave for Europe it will be a dream come true but if it doesn't work out I will be happy to be here with Sundowns."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
