Billiat camp weighing up options

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane will have to wait a bit longer to find out if Khama Billiat stays at the club.

Mosimane has already resigned himself to losing 2017/18 PSL Footballer of the Season Percy Tau, who is being linked with a move to the English Premier League or another one of Europe's top leagues.

As such, the Brazilians mentor spoke this week of his hopes that 2015/16 Footballer of the Season Billiat will extend his stay with the Tshwane team.

"We can't let him go, he has been an important guy," said Mosimane.

"I mean how many games has he played? He has been injured but look at the goals he scored, eight."

However, Billiat's representative Mike Ngobeni has subsequently stated that a decision is still being weighed up.

"We are not rushing anything because his contract is only ending next month, end of June, so we are not rushing any deal because we have got time to make up our minds and see what's next for the player," Ngobeni told Soccer Laduma website.

"We have to make a bold decision and not an emotional decision you know, there is nothing to be emotional about, we need to make sure that we make a bold decision for Khama and his family and his future," he added.
