Billiat and Shabba fit to face 'Downs for Chiefs

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly been handed a boost with the news that forward Khama Billiat and veteran attacking midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala are fit to face Mamelodi Sundowns

Chiefs take on Sundowns in the opening game of the 2018/19 Premiership campaign on Saturday with the clash set to take place at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

The pair were taken off injured in the defeat to Cape Town City during the Mpumalanga Cultural Experience Cup during the pre-season period, although it since seems this was for precautionary measures.

As such, Soccer Laduma report that both Billiat and Tshabalala have been in full training under the watchful eye of Italian coach Giovanni Solinas, and are in contention to face the Brazilians this weekend.

With that said, central midfielder George Maluleka appears set to miss out on the contest as he was recently spotted in a moon boot with an undisclosed injury concern.

However, apart from the absence of Maluleka who was a regular in 2017/18, the outfit from Naturena boast virtually a clean bill of health.

Saturday's action is set to get underway from 15:00 in Pretoria with both teams no doubt hungry to collect all three points.
