Bilankulu targeting Arrows appearance record

Cape Town - Golden Arrows defender Musa Bilankulu has Thanduyise Khuboni's all-time appearance record of 213 games for the Lamontville club in his sights.

The 32-year-old reached 201 appearances for Abafana Bes'thende in the goalless draw with Chippa United on Sunday, and is now well aware that he is only 12 games adrift of Khuboni's record.

"Being one of the breadwinners at home is one of the motivations that keeps me going until now," he said, according to Sowetan Live.

"It has been great to be here at Arrows. I always feel at home. I am hoping that I will break this record."

Bilankulu joined Arrows in 2005 and spent eight years at the club before spells at Bidvest Wits and Bloemfontein Celtic. He returned to Lamontville in January 2016 on a free transfer.

Abafana Bes'thende next face Baroka FC who they will leapfrog with a win in an Absa Premiership clash at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 15:30.
