Bilankulu hoping trio stays at Arrows

Cape Town - Golden Arrows defender Musa Bilankulu admits losing the services of Kudakwashe Mahachi, Andile Fikizolo and Gladwin Shitolo in the off-season will be a huge setback for the team.

Fikizolo and Shitolo are expected to return to Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United respectively, at the end of their season-long loan spells. Mahachi, on the other hand, is rumoured to be heading to Sweden, just four months after joining Abafana Bes'thende from Mamelodi Sundowns in January.

Shitolo made 32 appearances in all competitions and scored five goals, while Fikizolo and Mahachi featured 25 times apiece for Arrows.

"I think all three of them are really good players and losing them will affect the team a lot," Bilankulu told Goal website.

"I think they all played huge roles last season and losing them would be sad.

"But I think the coach and management are looking into that because they know what the story behind loan players and those players whose contracts are coming to an end.

"I believe are looking into that and they will fix whatever problem we have in the team.

"Fortunately the season only starts in two months since we didn’t qualify for the top eight, so that should give us enough time to prepare for the new season with the new players should they leave and new replacements are captured.

"It would be great though to keep the core of the team and maybe make a few adjustments."
