Cape Town - Phumelele Bhengu's agent, Lizwe Mthethwa has confirmed that the striker will leave SuperSport United ahead of the 2016/17 Premiership season.
The 26-year-old joined Matsatsantsa from National First Division side Thanda Royal Zulu at the beginning of the 2015/16 campaign.
Despite winning the NFD golden boot, after scoring 22 goals in the league for Thanda in 2014, Bhengu struggled to adjust to life in Pretoria, making just three substitute appearance in all competitions for United.
Although he can not reveal the name of the club, the agent can confirm that Bhengu will now look to revive his career elsewhere.
"Bhengu is leaving definitely and we know where is he going," Mthethwa told KickOff.
"At this point in time I can’t reveal the club because we need to meet him first and explain the situation and agree the personal terms and the way forward."
The former under-20 international faced competition from Jeremy Brockie, Kingston Nkatha and Bradley Grobler for place in coach Stuart Baxter's starting eleven.
